a) Explore how nurses’ roles, responsibilities, and education should change 2020 -2030.
o Choose and discuss any issues such as doubling the number with MSN and Doctorates in
nursing education, responsibilities in the healthcare system, health care policy, reduce
health disparities, increasing the numbers of clinical specialist, or redesigning care in the
U.S. This list is not exhausted
o Explore your topic in the published peer-reviewed scholarly literature (evidence).
o Explore public opinion, position statements of related professional organizations, and /
or legislative actions related to the topic.
b) Write your paper
o Begin with an introduction to the topic
o Clearly define your position statement from historical to future
o Support your position with reasons for it.
o Justify your reasons with relevant evidence.
o Conclude with a summary.
c) Formatting
o The body of the paper (excluding title page and references) is to be no more than 6 pages
in length, using APA format
o Use headings throughout your paper to guide the reader, following APA heading styles
o Do not include an abstract/note page.
o Two (2) points will be deducted for every page over 6 pages. See the grading rubric for
