Description

The American process of electing a President is complex and convoluted.  For this topic, I want you to discuss two important aspects of Presidential elections.  First, discuss the process of how delegates are selected for the parties' National Conventions for the purpose of choosing the party's nominee for President.  Be sure to include the different types of primary elections and caucuses that states use.  Also, discuss the role of Super Delegates in the Democratic National Convention.  Second, discuss the role of the Electoral College.  What is the relationship between the popular vote and the Electoral College vote?  Why did the Founding Fathers include the Electoral College in the U.S. Constitution?
