Objective: Writing a Health Policy Brief:

 

A policy brief is an objective analysis of a current and controversial health care cost/access/quality issue directed at a specific audience who is involved in or impacted by the issue – and/or who has the power and resources to implement your policy recommendation.

 

 

 

ASSIGNMENT GUIDELINES (2 points /10%):

 

For this Final Project, The students are encouraged to write and describe a  policy brief Health Policy,  assumes that your legislator has asked you to provide him/her with an objective analysis of a piece of current legislation so that s/he can decide on how to vote on the bill.

 

You need to read the article (in the additional weekly reading resources localize in the Syllabus and also in the Lectures link) assigned for this week and develop a 8-10-page paper reflecting your understanding and ability to apply the readings to your Health Care Setting. Each paper must be typewritten with 12-point font and double-spaced with standard margins. Follow APA style 7th edition format when referring to the selected articles and include a reference page.
