Discuss pacifism as a practical matter. Certain individuals can choose to be pacifists, but what of entire societies? What are some predictable outcomes of a nation choosing to be pacifist in its international relations? How would those vary depending on the kind of pacifism the state adopted (absolute, conditional, pacificism, commercial, religious)? Cite examples that support your reasoning.
