MORALITY AND SEX:
This is a Discussion Post: We are to form an initial response with respect to the questions below. I have attached reading/reference material that MUST be used as part of the reference material. An additional outside source may be used as well.
Chapter 4 is from the book: Lewis, Carol W. & Stuart C. Gillman (2012) The Ethics Challenge in Public Service
Chapters 3 and 5 are from the book: Rachels, Stuart (2018) The Elements of Moral Philosophy
I have also attached additional summary information that may be helpful.
Questions:
1. Is it morally wrong for a person to have sex with an intoxicated but willing individual if s/he suspects that if such a person were sober, this person would not have consented?
Explain why or why not.
2. Suppose s/he believes that this person would have probably consented even if sober but is not sure.
What should s/he do?
