As we have witnessed through our research, the number of employees working globally—and the number of employees assigned to travel internationally on behalf of their organization—continues to rise. Moreover, employees are communicating more often with other employees and customers throughout the world via social media, videos, and other communication mechanisms. Given the vital need that employees become more "globally aware" of how to act and interact with those in foreign countries, address the following:
· Provide a brief summary of the level of global exports and imports, along with the growth in numbers of employees working internationally, to better understand the scope of this trend
· Detail the two most important strategies a human resource professional should adopt to better ensure their employees are prepared to successfully work and interact in whatever foreign assignment they may be asked to perform. In other words, how can human resources ensure their employees are fully capable of working in another country?
