Question

At the end of your field experiences (the hours and the research study), you will be asked to submit an

electronic portfolio that will summarize how you have: 

 Collaborated with the appropriate stakeholders to make positive changes academically

pertinent to the improvement of the school’s educational environment

 Mobilized resources for community-based collaboration and progress, with diverse cultural,

social, and intellectual resources

 Responded to solve an issue or evaluated how an issue was solved to support the needs of the

school, parents, students, and/or caregivers

 Responded to community partners’ interests and needs to sustain a productive school

environment.

How you will answer these questions should be the focus for choosing  field experiences. This is not be

an added responsibility but a reflection of what you have learned from the courses and field

experiences. These can be answered from assignments, field experiences, or the research study. You will

add your work to the electronic platform outline previously created in Module 3.   Within the portfolio

you will answer each question with a minimum of one answer providing artifacts to show how you can

answer each question. 

In this discussion, you will share with others what you think the requirements are. what tasks you could

use to help answer one of the questions, your experience using electronic portfolios, sharing your plans

for the e-portfolio, and ask questions for clarification. You may decide to discuss an e-portfolio example

and comments on what you think makes it professional and a good example for this requirement. This

discussion is to be a brainstorming activity that allows you to share with others your ideas. 

There are very few examples of candidates e-portfolios in this course or the Field Experience Course

because most contain personal or school information that I do not want to share with others without

having permission to do so. If you are comfortable doing so you can share as part of the discussion. Later

you can choose to change the website URLs or not allow access to others. 

The results of your brainstorming discussion can be used to complete part of your Assignment for Week

7.

answering your research question can help you to document evidence of accomplishment OR discuss

your experience using electronic portfolios OR share your e-portfolio link with others and explain your

choices.
