Question

I need a management report analysing the competitive advantage of Vodafone (Competitive Analysis Report). The report should also be from a certain perspective and delivered for a specific audience or clientele. The audience is stakeholders in the organisation itself (in other words, a report on the competitive advantage). The aim of the report is to evaluate an organisation and its competitiveness / competitive advantage. This project looks at both the external environment (including the market structure) and the resources, capabilities and strengths of the organisation and those of its immediate rivals The external environment and its drivers include a much wider range of factors than just the market. As well as analysing the organisation you should include recommendations you would make to improve its competitive position. I will be assessed on the ability to apply a range of analytical tools, designed to determine the competitiveness of media organisations and their competitive environment. Please include value chain and value network analysis, analysis of resources and capabilities, business model modelling, PEST and SWOT analysis. Make sure not to explain the definition of the models or the theoretical rationale. Please include strategic recommendations ranging from the provision of a limited number of specific recommendations to wide-ranging recommendations, drawing upon analysis and the use of tools and the recognition and discussion of consequences, limitations, and complexity. Please include a solid foundation of information relating to the organisation and its industry context, demonstration of the ability to form judgements or interpretations based on ambiguous or incomplete information, and an understanding of the relevance of specific measures and data. Please use Harvard-style referencing. I have attached a few examples to give you an idea of what is required.
