worth 20 points and will be graded as follows:

Substance:

Papers should include an introduction that does not include “In this paper I’m going to

discuss…” and a conclusion that ties together the paper’s elements. The body of the paper must

contain the following elements:

 A substantive summary of the classical readings.

 Two (2) sections where linkages are made between the classical readings, the news

article, and the D&D textbook to engage with the contemporary topic in PA.

 A discussion about the implications or meaningfulness of the classical readings for

contemporary public administration.

 A brief discussion of how the classical reading plays a role in the student’s progress

towards being able to answer, “What is public administration?”

The length of each Reflection is 800-1000 words (It Is Okay If You Go Over The Count), double

spaced, 12-point font, typewritten pages. Students will need a cover page that contains the

appropriate heading- name, instructor name, course name, title and page numbers throughout the

paper. Students will need to include a reference sheet that also follows APA guidelines. When in

doubt, CITE!
