Write a 2-page academic essay discussing the causes OR effects (not both) of an issue related to your topic. In order to write a convincing cause & effect essay, you have to demonstrate there is a linking relationshipbetween the causes or effects. With most topics, the relationship is ‘suggested.’ Your job is to point out clearly the cause or effect and discuss the 'so what' significance. These relationships can be positive or negative but not a mixture. Remember, your audience may or may not hold your opinion so be convincing.
